Testimonials from SY 2023-2024

When we decided which school Tala should attend for the first time two years ago, we wanted an environment that would build on her strengths, focus on character development, and use day-to-day classroom and non-classroom activities to promote overall growth.

We're blessed to find Little Sandbox. Tala learned Science, Math, English, and Filipino at Little Sandbox through hands-on activities and lessons that were integrated into play.

Tala learned to write, read, and count in two years, free of the burden of assignments and projects. She is also more self-sufficient and creative; she can now express and communicate her wants and needs more clearly and effectively. We also appreciate the fact that teachers instill Christian values in their students.

Programs and activities are organized, and the giveaways/gifts given to students are very personal and thoughtful.

We are grateful to Little Sandbox and their team for doing an outstanding job in preschool. Thank you for making Tala's early years of learning memorable!

Having come from the pandemic, Lucia was such a cautious and shy little girl. It only took a little while upon entering Little Sandbox, that we noticed that she was slowly coming out of her shell. Our once quiet and reserved little girl was now speaking her mind, making friends, relating with others, and confidently expressing herself through her artwork, spoken language, and through song and dance. She comes home everyday with so much joy over all the experiences and relationships built during her school day!

Because of Little Sandbox, we saw that Lucia has such tremendous excitement for learning, exploring, and creating. But more importantly, we saw that the school helped her learn how to be kind, sensitive, compassionate, and caring towards her friends and community.  We also noticed that her knowledge is based on such solid foundations because of all the hands-on, relatable, and concrete experiences in school, allowing her to always make sense of all her new learnings.

We are so grateful to be part of such a wonderful, warm, and supportive community - from the teachers, teaching aids, security, co-parents, and co-students. Even as Lucia moves on to a bigger school in the near future, we will always fondly look back at this community we started in, and be grateful for having come from the best starting ground for her to face all of life's big adventures.

Learning through play is what I really wanted for my boys as I, an occupational therapist and a play advocate, know how powerful play can be. Prince loves going to school. He never wanted to miss a class day, and when in school, he would always beg to stay for 5 more minutes. On the way home, I would always ask what they did in school, and he would happily answer, “We played!” And by “just playing,” I saw how he became more articulate, how he learned to read and to write, how he learned math and science concepts, how he became more confident and more compassionate. Prince is now ready for big school and will never forget the things he learned and the friends he made at Little Sandbox. His younger brother, Rafa, has started going to Little Sandbox, and I see the same excitement of going to school. I am confident that Rafa is in good hands, and I am excited to see him go through the same process of learning and development as his kuya.

I first learned about Little Sandbox through relatives and friends who previously enrolled their kids in Little Sandbox Preschool. All of them only had good words to say about their experience with Little Sandbox Preschool. So, when it was our turn to enroll our son, Ethan, I admit that I had high expectations because of the reviews I’ve been getting. They did not disappoint! I really saw how Ethan developed immensely in different areas such as literacy, art, socialization, and other life skills. What made me even happy about bringing our son to Little Sandbox was how they incorporated learning through play. The teachers were also very attentive to every child’s progression and needs. Ethan entered Little Sandbox as a timid, socially awkward kid; and now, seeing him confident and very sociable makes us appreciate Little Sandbox even more. It gives us assurance and confidence as well that our son is well-equipped when he moves on to a bigger school and will be ready to take on bigger tasks. Thank you, Little Sandbox! Our son’s home away from home…

At first, Josiah was a typical shy type boy. As he spent longer hours and days at the Little Sandbox school, we observed that he developed his personality, especially when it comes to his communication skills. The school provided avenues and opportunities for our son to express his self more, and we are very happy of what we are presently seeing in him.

We witnessed how our daughter enjoyed her daily activities in Little Sandbox. As parents, it’s comforting to see how our daughter’s academic and social skills were developed through fun and engaging activities. Her development was not at all forced but instead was encouraged at her own pace. She also developed interest and care for the environment, which shows how holistic Little Sandbox’s curriculum is.

As first-time parents sending our child to school, we were extremely selective and detailed in our search. Through our research, we discovered Little Sandbox and were impressed by the many positive reviews from parents of former students. This convinced us to reach out and ultimately enroll our son, Aiden. The school, along with its staff, surpassed our expectations. Our son experienced an enjoyable blend of online and in-person education. His learning was stress-free, without the load of traditional textbooks, rote memorization, and homework. Little Sandbox's developmental approach has truly unlocked Aiden's potential, both academically and practically. Aiden's success story is just one of many at Little Sandbox. Currently in grade school, he is well-adjusted to the school environment and subject matter. Little Sandbox played a crucial part in laying this solid foundation.

“Spending the early childhood years at Little Sandbox truly made a remarkable journey on Francine’s growth and development. She was able to develop her  social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Her curiosity in learning the various activities in school made her explore new things and boost her confidence in sharing her opinions and perspectives at a young age.  Little Sandbox’s commitment to build a broad and solid foundation towards lifelong learning and wellbeing was truly embodied by the school’s mission vision. “

“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.” — Clay P. Bedford

Little Sandbox played an important role in Gabriel's formative years esp during the challenging period of the pandemic. Even if Gabriel's first year with them is online, he was able to build relationships with his classmates and teachers which he needed at that time for normalcy. They were also able to instill love for learning and that learning can be fun through play, art and music.  My son was able to transition to traditional school since he was prepared well for big school with the school's curriculum. I am thankful that my friend recommended Little Sandbox.

We have been with Little Sandbox for 4 years now and we have nothing but wonderful words and grateful hearts for them. Everyone will greet you with a warm smile starting from Kuya Noel, the Ates, and the Teachers.

We started at Little Sandbox during the pandemic. It was a challenge for us since Eli has minor speech and language delay. We wanted to find a school that could make him sit, listen, and engage in all the activities. We were able to see his growth here in a short time. So it was a no-brainer that Aki should also go to Little Sandbox. Transitioning from online to face-to-face, we were a bit anxious about how the kids would cope with longer hours in school and more activities. But the school’s method and the teachers’ creativity made the kids enjoy and flourish in their own time. I always tell the teachers that my goal for the kids is to just enjoy and learn at the same time.

Eli wouldn’t stop writing and making letters and books because of your Book Publishing Day event. There was also a time when Aki would not stop talking about the macaw bird and the rainforest and about him being an artist because of his paintings during your Art Show. This is what makes your school special, Little Sandbox and its Teachers will listen to the kids’ needs and adjust accordingly to the kids’ pace. They make the kids feel that they are seen, encouraged, and appreciated with whatever output they can give.

Now that it’s our last year with Little Sandbox, we are sad but we want to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone, from Kuya Noel’s protective big smile, Ate Jenny,Ate Nova, Ate Julie,Ate Diane all are angels. You can genuinely feel the care that they give to each kid. To all the Teachers; Teacher Denise, Teacher Dianne,Teacher Eliza, Teacher Jaja,Teacher Selina, and Teacher Mia we appreciate all your hard work and genuine efforts for the kids to learn and enjoy the time that they spend at school. We couldn’t thank you enough. Eli and Aki surely had fun learning while playing in Little Sandbox.

Testimonials from Old Students

“We love the play-based nature of the curriculum of Little Sandbox -- with an emphasis on imaginative play, planning, and teamwork. The environment is open and welcoming. Pia is always excited to attend and loves making new friends. I have seen her blossom and her vocabulary is continuously increasing. She is more confident and has learned to share and take turns. Little Sandbox is not just a school, but a family, and each child receives individual attention tailored for growth.”

- Mommy Roxanne Danao

Finding Little Sandbox was like finding a gem after a long search for preschools for our son, Toby. The small class sizes, the personalized instruction, the well-thought out activities and the ability to push the children just enough in order for them to ponder more, reflect more, while at the same time, encouraging them to show their own creativity through art or expression... These allowed us to witness Toby flourishing in school.

The teachers are kind, knowledgeable, supportive, and very open to discussion, which means so much to us as parents.”

- Mommy Muffin and Daddy Don Tayag

“Ava first joined Little Sandbox as a Little Digger and I remember that she was so hesitant and shy at first. She’s come a long way and we’re happy that we entrusted her to the care of her teachers.

We also appreciate how Little Sandbox has helped Ava this year as a Little Discoverer. We saw firsthand how the teachers pay very close attention to each child’s progress and champion their individuality. This type of focus on each child’s uniqueness will undoubtedly help lay down a solid foundation.

Thanks to Teacher Mia, Teacher Diane, and the other teachers for not only taking care of Ava but also for being very easy to talk to and patient with us parents.

We highly recommend Little Sandbox to all parents who wish to give their child a head start on great education!”

- Mommy Ivy Valencia

“When my son was around 2 years old, we were on the lookout for a school that would cater to his curiosity. We wanted a school that was inquiry-based, student-led, and play-based.

We are so blessed that we found it all in Little Sandbox. My husband and I are firm believers that through play, a child can learn. In our two-year journey with Little Sandbox, Pipoy learned not only the academic standards, but the most vital aspects in everyone’s life - social skills, life skills, and to be imaginative.”

- Mommy Em Destura

“Arlo has been with Little Sandbox since he was 1 year and 6 months so he is really ‘homegrown’. Arlo has nothing but good memories of his school, his classmates, and his teachers.

Over the years, as parents, we saw how the school and the teachers took time to know Arlo - his strengths and weaknesses - and worked on them. We noticed the value they put on the importance of having family as their partners in the child’s education.

With their wonderful child-centered curriculum and in partnership with the parents, Little Sandbox was able to well equip Arlo with the character and knowledge he needs for big school. And we are proud to say he is going to be an Eaglet soon!

We are forever grateful to have stumbled across Little Sandbox in our search for a school for Arlo years back. Thank you for being Arlo’s second home for the past 5 years.”

- Mommy Camille Encabo

“I remember during his first day, Adam was crying nonstop when we left the school until we reached our house. He was begging me to bring him back. Every day on our way home, he would tell me stories about his activities and how he enjoyed playing with his classmates.

Little Sandbox helped Adam cultivate his interests, express his emotions, and strengthen his values. His classmates helped him a lot, too! He learned how to be more patient and wait for his turn and to share.

We appreciate all the efforts of his teachers to encourage him and make activities based on his interest. This also taught us not to pressure Adam and just let him learn when he’s ready. His time at Little Sandbox was worthwhile.”

- Mommy Aimee Estacio

“Our son, Don, started going to Little Sandbox when he was 2 years & 3 months old. He immediately felt at home when we sat in the class during free trial. He has been going to this school for more than a year now and he really enjoys every single moment of his stay. We are sending Don to this school again this coming school year. And to add more fun to it, Don’s little brother Paul is joining the Little Sandbox kids. Sending our kids to Little Sandbox gives us peace of mind for we know that they are in good hands while we are not around.”

— Cheryl Novencido

“My two kids really enjoy going here. They feel so welcome by everyone; from Kuya Noel, the Ates and all the Teachers. And as parents, it is an assurance that our kids are well taken care of. We’ve seen how they developed from shy little kids to curious, active individuals. My eldest loves Little Sandbox so much that he doesn’t want to leave for big school.

— Iza Sison

“When our daughter turned 2.5 years old, we took looking for a school seriously. We visited seven schools in the QC area and we chose Little Sandbox among the choices. (This alone says a lot.) During the school visit, we quickly observed the teacher’s genuine concern for the students and there is a transparent mutual relationship with the parents. We also saw how kids at Little Sandbox are not merely seen but are heard; they are encouraged to speak and express themselves and not just follow teacher’s orders. Through the years, we saw how our daughter bloomed in the school— from a quiet shy girl to a sociable, caring and confident little lady. We are happy with the school and are truly thankful for Little Sandbox’s important impact on the development of our daughter.”

— Pamcy Lim

“Our little one, Alexa, has been with Little Sandbox for three years (since she was 3) and we are very sad that we have to move on to big school now but we will always be thankful for what she has gained here. Since day 1 she felt right at home at Sandbox and we really saw that she loved going to school and seeing all the teachers and classmates. Our daughter really learned a lot and became more socially active thanks to Little Sandbox. Two thumbs up to the teachers and everyone at LSP!”

— Allan Academia

“Little Sandbox has helped my daughter to be more sociable, independent and creative. She gained a lot of friends and through there activities she now loves to perform in front of other people.”
